Zimwomen Northampton is a voluntary organisation based in Northampton UK. The aim of the orgnisation is to empower and support vulnerable women, young people and children for a better today and tomorrow. To improve and enhance the lives of vulnerable women, young people and children living in Northamptonshire.
We particularly focus on education and re-employment, health and personal well-being by providing training, skills nurturing and development and through sports and recreational activities.
We create a platform for discussions among women and young people of all cultures on issues that affect their welfare.
The charitable causes tackled by us include: community support and development, all education and training and social inclusion. Please find more information about the services we provide.
Zimwomen Association also organise various social events throughout the year including health, & wellbeing events in partnership with local health public bodies, cultural events such as multicultural festival, Africa Day and Young Black Achiever's Awards which celebrates the achievements of children and young people.
We also run workshops and other projects such as training for young people, providing them with skills to improve their mental and physical wellbeing as well as a number of recreational activities.
