We create a platform for discussions among women and young people of all cultures on issues that affect their welfare and wellbeing. Zimwomen Association also help and assist people to intergrate into the UK system and society.

Advocating with statutory bodies such as the Police, NHS, Domestic Violence and Women’s Aid .We have done and will always do extensive work on helping and supporting women and children in our community.
Although the organisation was started to support the needs of Zimbabwean women the association now supports all members of the community. However our continued support depends on the help of volunteers, please contact us if you are willing to assist us. You do not need to have previous voluntary experience. If you can spare a few hours a week or even a month, we would love to hear from you. Some of the voluntary work can be done from home.

We are also involved in a variety of projects and activities including drumming and dance performances, intergenerational projects such as gardening at our allotment, we are attempting to grow a variety of vegetables including those that traditionally do not grow, some of the crops have thrived here, however the Northampton Volunteer Centre recently provided the association with a green house which will hopefully enable the vegetables needing warmer temperatures to grow. We are the founders of the annual multicultural fashion show, celebrating the various cultures living in Northamptonshire. Please view the gallery page to see some photos of the event.

Our services include Family Support, Health & Wellbeing Awareness, Life Skills Development Training, Support Refugees & Asylum Seekers, Arts, Culture & Heritage Awareness. For more information please visit our Services page for more information.
