Our first fundraising event is Strictly Come dancing for Africa which will be held at the Royal and Derngate on Friday 18 September 2015. We are also asking for your support by buying tickets and attending this spectacular event.
We are looking for Sponsors, Associates and Patrons that has a heart for the development and education of youth in developing countries.
Zimwomen Association of Northamptonshire, is a non profit organisation ( Reg No 08709568) which is pioneering a community outreach program called Ekhaya - Skills Centres Exchange Programme.
The Aim: is to build Skills Centres Across Africa, through fundraising, Donations,Applying for funds, sponsors and patrons.
The Vision: is to Empower disadvantaged Young People and their community across Africa by building Skills Centres that will provide technical skills which will allow them to be self sufficient and also provide Health and wellbeing project.
The Mission: is for the world to share skills and resources and educational exchange between international and host centre participants.
We have so far acquired land in Zimbabwe and Uganda. We are grateful that the University of Northampton is supporting us by allowing us to take 15 Students to Zimbabwe (Rusape) on 14 August 2016 to start the building process. The carefully selected group of students will travel to Rusape, Zimbabwe where they will be partnered with local students to engage in a two week training session in various Building skills, sustainable farming, entrepreneurship including Health and wellbeing.
The following are the costs we need to cover for us to be able to take the students to Africa.

- Clear and prepare the land and put a Fence around it £3500
- Promotion, Recruitment materials and learning packs £2300 in UK and Zimbabwe
- Accommodation 15 Students £3000, £200 per student for 2 weeks
- Food for 15 Students £750, £50 Per student for 2 weeks
